# VetPrep vs Visible Cat

The clearest difference is rating: VetPrep at 3.3 against Visible Cat's 1.0. VetPrep also leads on ratings volume (29 vs 1). Visible Cat's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 4 months) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VetPrep sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Visible Cat sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

VetPrep holds the better App Store score, 3.3 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VetPrep has 29 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

VetPrep ships an update every 4 months, Visible Cat every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
