# VetPrep vs Summit

The clearest difference is rating: Summit at 5.0 against VetPrep's 3.3. Summit also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs every 4 months). VetPrep's advantage is ratings volume (29 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VetPrep sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Summit sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Summit holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VetPrep has 29 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

VetPrep ships an update every 4 months, Summit every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
