# ORB Participant vs WVSS

The clearest difference is rating: ORB Participant at 3.1 against WVSS's 2.0. ORB Participant also leads on ratings volume (66 vs 3) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.1). WVSS's advantage is review sentiment (46% vs 32%) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 4 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ORB Participant holds the better App Store score, 3.1 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ORB Participant has 66 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 32% of ORB Participant's written reviews are positive against 46% of WVSS's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ORB Participant ships an update every 4 months, WVSS every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
