# Pukk vs Square Heroes

The clearest difference is rating: Pukk at 4.4 against Square Heroes's 3.7. Pukk also leads on ratings volume (126 vs 6). Square Heroes's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 83%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pukk sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Square Heroes sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Pukk holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pukk has 126 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 83% of Pukk's written reviews are positive against 100% of Square Heroes's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Pukk ships an update every 2 weeks, Square Heroes every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
