# DriveCamX vs DriveCam

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: DriveCamX at none against DriveCam's 1. DriveCam's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 days vs every 2 months). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DriveCam sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. DriveCamX asks for nothing beyond the download.

DriveCamX ships an update every 2 months, DriveCam every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on September 24, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
