# Shiliew vs Oriole

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Shiliew at 88% against Oriole's 43%. Shiliew also leads on device support (4 vs 2). Oriole's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.1) and update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Shiliew sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $14.99 per month and Oriole sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Oriole holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Oriole has 221 ratings behind it against 26, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 88% of Shiliew's written reviews are positive against 43% of Oriole's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Shiliew ships an update every 2 months, Oriole weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
