# PolitiTruth vs Factitious

The clearest difference is rating: Factitious at 5.0 against PolitiTruth's 3.3. Factitious also leads on update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 36 months). PolitiTruth's advantage is ratings volume (35 vs 2) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Factitious holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PolitiTruth has 35 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

PolitiTruth ships an update every 36 months, Factitious every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
