# Hot Table vs MAC Cannabis

Hot Table and MAC Cannabis both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of MAC Cannabis's written reviews are positive against 42% of Hot Table's. MAC Cannabis also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). Hot Table's advantage is ratings volume (2K vs 31) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Hot Table against 4.8 for MAC Cannabis. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hot Table has 2K ratings behind it against 31, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 42% of Hot Table's written reviews are positive against 100% of MAC Cannabis's.

Hot Table ships an update every 2 months, MAC Cannabis fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
