# Lightspeed Activate vs RefynED

The clearest difference is rating: RefynED at 5.0 against Lightspeed Activate's 4.3. RefynED also leads on update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 7 months). Lightspeed Activate's advantage is ratings volume (6 vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

RefynED holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lightspeed Activate has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Lightspeed Activate ships an update every 7 months, RefynED every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
