# Ephrata Tips vs Autograph Identifier

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Ephrata Tips at 100% against Autograph Identifier's 15%. Ephrata Tips also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 2) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.5). Autograph Identifier's advantage is rating (4.2 vs 3.0) and update cadence (every 10 days vs every 53 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Autograph Identifier sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Ephrata Tips asks for nothing beyond the download.

Autograph Identifier holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Autograph Identifier has 105 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Ephrata Tips's written reviews are positive against 15% of Autograph Identifier's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Ephrata Tips ships an update every 53 months, Autograph Identifier every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
