# Counter vs Paraphrase tool

The clearest difference is rating: Paraphrase tool at 4.7 against Counter's 4.4. Paraphrase tool also leads on ratings volume (226 vs 69). Counter's advantage is review sentiment (79% vs 61%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Counter sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per 7 days and Paraphrase tool sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Paraphrase tool holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 69 and 226 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 79% of Counter's written reviews are positive against 61% of Paraphrase tool's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
