# Counter vs LVLUP

The clearest difference is ads: Counter at none against LVLUP's shown. Counter also leads on ratings volume (62 vs 3). LVLUP's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and update cadence (every 5 days vs monthly). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Counter sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per 7 days and LVLUP sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

LVLUP holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Counter has 62 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 79% of Counter's written reviews are positive against 100% of LVLUP's.

Counter ships an update monthly, LVLUP every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
