# Counter vs TimeMender

The clearest difference is rating: TimeMender at 5.0 against Counter's 4.6. TimeMender also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). Counter's advantage is ratings volume (62 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Counter sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per 7 days and TimeMender sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TimeMender holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Counter has 62 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Counter ships an update monthly, TimeMender fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
