# Scouting vs BLÜ

The clearest difference is rating: BLÜ at 3.9 against Scouting's 2.0. BLÜ also leads on review sentiment (55% vs 13%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.4). Scouting's advantage is ratings volume (930 vs 15). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

BLÜ holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Scouting has 930 ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 13% of Scouting's written reviews are positive against 55% of BLÜ's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
