# Microsoft Azure vs iMatrix

The clearest difference is review sentiment: iMatrix at 100% against Microsoft Azure's 29%. iMatrix also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs every 3 weeks) and iOS requirement (13 vs 16.0). Microsoft Azure's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.2) and ratings volume (2.8K vs 5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Microsoft Azure holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Microsoft Azure has 2.8K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 29% of Microsoft Azure's written reviews are positive against 100% of iMatrix's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Microsoft Azure ships an update every 3 weeks, iMatrix every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
