# Microsoft Planner vs GoAnywhere

The clearest difference is rating: GoAnywhere at 5.0 against Microsoft Planner's 4.6. Microsoft Planner's advantage is update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 8 months) and ratings volume (13K vs 3). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

GoAnywhere holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Microsoft Planner has 13K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Microsoft Planner ships an update every 6 weeks, GoAnywhere every 8 months. The most recent releases landed on November 8, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
