# Microsoft Planner vs DashNote

The clearest difference is review sentiment: DashNote at 100% against Microsoft Planner's 29%. DashNote also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 weeks). Microsoft Planner's advantage is price (Free vs $1.99) and ratings volume (13K vs 1). On ads, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Microsoft Planner is free to download; DashNote costs $1.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

DashNote holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Microsoft Planner has 13K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 29% of Microsoft Planner's written reviews are positive against 100% of DashNote's.

Microsoft Planner ships an update every 6 weeks, DashNote every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
