# Flashcards maker vs Poki

The clearest difference is monetization model: Poki at freemium against Flashcards maker's subscription. Poki also leads on update cadence (every 6 days vs every 5 weeks) and iOS requirement (16.4 vs 18.0). Flashcards maker's advantage is ratings volume (669 vs 99). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flashcards maker sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Poki sells 18 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Flashcards maker against 4.6 for Poki. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flashcards maker has 669 ratings behind it against 99, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 62% of Flashcards maker's written reviews are positive against 54% of Poki's.

Flashcards maker ships an update every 5 weeks, Poki every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
