# Spintify vs Redwing

Spintify and Redwing both sit at 2.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 50% of Redwing's written reviews are positive against 36% of Spintify's. Redwing also leads on ratings volume (12 vs 4). Spintify's advantage is iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.1). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Spintify sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and Redwing sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Spintify holds the better App Store score, 2.8 against 2.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 4 and 12 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 36% of Spintify's written reviews are positive against 50% of Redwing's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Spintify ships an update every 2 weeks, Redwing every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
