# Scanner App vs SCAN PDF

Scanner App and SCAN PDF both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 70% of Scanner App's written reviews are positive against 14% of SCAN PDF's. Scanner App also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (1.4K vs 34). SCAN PDF's advantage is update cadence (every 10 days vs monthly) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Scanner App sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and SCAN PDF sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Scanner App against 4.7 for SCAN PDF. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Scanner App has 1.4K ratings behind it against 34, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 70% of Scanner App's written reviews are positive against 14% of SCAN PDF's.

Scanner App ships an update monthly, SCAN PDF every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
