# PornBlocker vs SHIFT Web

The clearest difference is rating: PornBlocker at 4.5 against SHIFT Web's 3.8. PornBlocker also leads on review sentiment (80% vs 47%) and ratings volume (9.8K vs 34). SHIFT Web's advantage is monetization model (free vs subscription) and update cadence (every 8 days vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PornBlocker sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and SHIFT Web sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PornBlocker holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PornBlocker has 9.8K ratings behind it against 34, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 80% of PornBlocker's written reviews are positive against 47% of SHIFT Web's.

PornBlocker ships an update every 2 months, SHIFT Web every 8 days. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
