# Cave FRVR vs Barely Visible

The clearest difference is ads: Barely Visible at none against Cave FRVR's shown. Barely Visible also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 2 months) and rating (4.8 vs 4.5). Cave FRVR's advantage is ratings volume (238 vs 13). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cave FRVR sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Barely Visible sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Barely Visible holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cave FRVR has 238 ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 53% of Cave FRVR's written reviews are positive against 50% of Barely Visible's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Cave FRVR ships an update every 2 months, Barely Visible every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
