Verdict
The clearest difference is ratings volume: ThinkingBaseball at 7.3K against LitZone's 27. LitZone's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 weeks). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. ThinkingBaseball sells 22 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and LitZone sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
LitZone holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ThinkingBaseball has 7.3K ratings behind it against 27, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 65% of ThinkingBaseball's written reviews are positive against 67% of LitZone's.
ThinkingBaseball ships an update every 6 weeks, LitZone every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
