# Eldorado CC vs Access by Troon

The clearest difference is rating: Access by Troon at 3.5 against Eldorado CC's 2.0. Access by Troon also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (34 vs 4). Eldorado CC's advantage is monetization model (ad-supported vs freemium) and review sentiment (50% vs 42%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Access by Troon holds the better App Store score, 3.5 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Access by Troon has 34 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Eldorado CC's written reviews are positive against 42% of Access by Troon's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Eldorado CC ships an update every 2 months, Access by Troon fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
