# Mongo Dash vs Salmon Sprint

The clearest difference is update cadence: Salmon Sprint at every 4 days against Mongo Dash's every 13 months. Salmon Sprint also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mongo Dash sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Salmon Sprint sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Mongo Dash ships an update every 13 months, Salmon Sprint every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
