# SymphoTouch vs PTBTX2™

The clearest difference is update cadence: SymphoTouch at every 4 months against PTBTX2™'s every 15 months. SymphoTouch also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 13.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SymphoTouch ships an update every 4 months, PTBTX2™ every 15 months. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
