# CGN Tours vs Explorial

The clearest difference is rating: CGN Tours at 5.0 against Explorial's 3.3. CGN Tours also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 17) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). Explorial's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 15 months) and review sentiment (69% vs 50%). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Explorial sells 16 one-off in-app purchases. CGN Tours asks for nothing beyond the download.

CGN Tours holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Explorial has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of CGN Tours's written reviews are positive against 69% of Explorial's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

CGN Tours ships an update every 15 months, Explorial every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
