# Exam Guru vs Vumingo Exam Testing Engine

The clearest difference is rating: Exam Guru at 2.8 against Vumingo Exam Testing Engine's 1.0. Exam Guru also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and update cadence (weekly vs every 9 months). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Exam Guru sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Vumingo Exam Testing Engine sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $69.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Exam Guru holds the better App Store score, 2.8 against 1.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 4 and 3 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of Exam Guru's written reviews are positive against 5% of Vumingo Exam Testing Engine's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Exam Guru ships an update weekly, Vumingo Exam Testing Engine every 9 months. Both last shipped on November 2, 2026.
