# NEXT by HOT vs My synagogue

The clearest difference is rating: My synagogue at 5.0 against NEXT by HOT's 1.5. My synagogue also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 11.0). NEXT by HOT's advantage is ratings volume (8 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

My synagogue holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 1.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NEXT by HOT has 8 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
