# FracTELfone vs Texter

FracTELfone and Texter both sit at 4.4 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of FracTELfone's written reviews are positive against 21% of Texter's. FracTELfone also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 10). Texter's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 7 months) and ratings volume (1.2K vs 7). On price, rating, ads and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Texter sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. FracTELfone asks for nothing beyond the download.

Texter holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Texter has 1.2K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of FracTELfone's written reviews are positive against 21% of Texter's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

FracTELfone ships an update every 7 months, Texter monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
