# LILYSILK vs Theory

The clearest difference is rating: Theory at 4.6 against LILYSILK's 4.1. Theory also leads on ratings volume (912 vs 18). LILYSILK's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Theory holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Theory has 912 ratings behind it against 18, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 40% of LILYSILK's written reviews are positive against 18% of Theory's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

LILYSILK ships an update weekly, Theory every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
