# SmartLife vs Optimal°

The clearest difference is rating: SmartLife at 4.7 against Optimal°'s 3.9. SmartLife also leads on ratings volume (1.9K vs 9) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). Optimal°'s advantage is review sentiment (60% vs 27%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SmartLife holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SmartLife has 1.9K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 27% of SmartLife's written reviews are positive against 60% of Optimal°'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SmartLife ships an update every 4 months, Optimal° every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
