# RQ vs Modi

The clearest difference is rating: Modi at 4.4 against RQ's 2.3. Modi also leads on ratings volume (23 vs 3). RQ's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 4) and ads (none vs shown). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Modi sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. RQ asks for nothing beyond the download.

Modi holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Modi has 23 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 50% and 50% positive.

RQ ships an update every 2 weeks, Modi fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
