# Cooper Lighting WaveLinx vs SecStream VPN

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Cooper Lighting WaveLinx at 100% against SecStream VPN's 60%. Cooper Lighting WaveLinx also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 8) and ads (none vs shown). SecStream VPN's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.2) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SecStream VPN sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Cooper Lighting WaveLinx asks for nothing beyond the download.

SecStream VPN holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SecStream VPN has 204 ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Cooper Lighting WaveLinx's written reviews are positive against 60% of SecStream VPN's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Cooper Lighting WaveLinx ships an update every 3 months, SecStream VPN fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
