# AI Scanner vs CamNote

The clearest difference is ads: CamNote at none against AI Scanner's shown. CamNote also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and update cadence (every 2 days vs every 8 days). AI Scanner's advantage is ratings volume (9.2K vs 1) and device support (4 vs 2). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AI Scanner sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and CamNote sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

CamNote holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AI Scanner has 9.2K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

AI Scanner ships an update every 8 days, CamNote every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
