# Chant Tools vs NDI HX Camera

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Chant Tools at none against NDI HX Camera's 4. Chant Tools also leads on review sentiment (42% vs 11%) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 months). NDI HX Camera's advantage is rating (4.4 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (531 vs 33). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NDI HX Camera sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Chant Tools asks for nothing beyond the download.

NDI HX Camera holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NDI HX Camera has 531 ratings behind it against 33, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 42% of Chant Tools's written reviews are positive against 11% of NDI HX Camera's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Chant Tools ships an update fortnightly, NDI HX Camera every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
