# FootPrint vs StampMap

The clearest difference is update cadence: FootPrint at every 3 days against StampMap's every 9 days. FootPrint also leads on ratings volume (394 vs 23) and review sentiment (78% vs 69%). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FootPrint sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.49 per year and StampMap sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for FootPrint against 4.9 for StampMap. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FootPrint has 394 ratings behind it against 23, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 78% of FootPrint's written reviews are positive against 69% of StampMap's.

FootPrint ships an update every 3 days, StampMap every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
