# Ulysses vs UAP SIGHTER

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: UAP SIGHTER at none against Ulysses's 7. UAP SIGHTER also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs every 3 weeks) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 26.0). Ulysses's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.2) and ratings volume (2.2K vs 6). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ulysses sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. UAP SIGHTER asks for nothing beyond the download.

Ulysses holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ulysses has 2.2K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Ulysses ships an update every 3 weeks, UAP SIGHTER every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
