# Ulysses vs EZZINE

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: EZZINE at none against Ulysses's 7. EZZINE also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 67%) and update cadence (every 8 days vs every 3 weeks). Ulysses's advantage is ratings volume (2.1K vs 9). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ulysses sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. EZZINE asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Ulysses against 4.6 for EZZINE. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ulysses has 2.1K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two.
