# Ulysses vs DOONO

The clearest difference is monetization model: DOONO at freemium against Ulysses's subscription. DOONO also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). Ulysses's advantage is ratings volume (2.2K vs 3) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ulysses sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and DOONO sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

DOONO holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ulysses has 2.2K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.
