# Life Select vs PettiChat

The clearest difference is rating: Life Select at 5.0 against PettiChat's 4.2. Life Select also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). PettiChat's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (9 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Life Select holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PettiChat has 9 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Life Select ships an update every 2 months, PettiChat fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
