# FPV vs DE FPV

The clearest difference is rating: FPV at 5.0 against DE FPV's 3.6. FPV also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 11.0). DE FPV's advantage is ratings volume (188 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

FPV holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DE FPV has 188 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

FPV ships an update every 3 weeks, DE FPV every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on September 16, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
