# ClassIn vs UM Touch

The clearest difference is rating: UM Touch at 5.0 against ClassIn's 3.6. UM Touch also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 13). ClassIn's advantage is review sentiment (51% vs 9%) and ratings volume (1K vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ClassIn sells 13 one-off in-app purchases. UM Touch asks for nothing beyond the download.

UM Touch holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ClassIn has 1K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 51% of ClassIn's written reviews are positive against 9% of UM Touch's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ClassIn ships an update every 11 days, UM Touch every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
