# ClassIn vs ZiNote

The clearest difference is rating: ZiNote at 5.0 against ClassIn's 3.6. ClassIn's advantage is ratings volume (1K vs 2) and update cadence (every 11 days vs every 6 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ClassIn sells 13 one-off in-app purchases and ZiNote sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ZiNote holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ClassIn has 1K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

ClassIn ships an update every 11 days, ZiNote every 6 weeks. Both last shipped on October 26, 2026.
