# Pre vs Calculus

The clearest difference is rating: Calculus at 3.5 against Pre's 3.3. Pre's advantage is iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.0). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pre sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Calculus sells 13 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Calculus holds the better App Store score, 3.5 against 3.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 3 and 4 respectively.
