# Pre vs Calculus Solver

The clearest difference is rating: Calculus Solver at 4.2 against Pre's 3.3. Calculus Solver also leads on ratings volume (30 vs 3). Pre's advantage is iOS requirement (8.0 vs 14.0.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pre sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Calculus Solver sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Calculus Solver holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Calculus Solver has 30 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.
