# Star Map Tracker vs Constellation Map mobile

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Constellation Map mobile at 86% against Star Map Tracker's 29%. Constellation Map mobile also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 5 months) and ratings volume (4.6K vs 1). Star Map Tracker's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Star Map Tracker sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Constellation Map mobile sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Star Map Tracker holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Constellation Map mobile has 4.6K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 29% of Star Map Tracker's written reviews are positive against 86% of Constellation Map mobile's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Star Map Tracker ships an update every 5 months, Constellation Map mobile every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
