# GOWOD vs ScanNuts®

GOWOD and ScanNuts® both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of ScanNuts®'s written reviews are positive against 71% of GOWOD's. ScanNuts® also leads on iOS requirement (14.0.0 vs 16.4). GOWOD's advantage is ratings volume (3.4K vs 1) and chart position (#194 vs unranked). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GOWOD sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $11.49 per month and ScanNuts® sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.90 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ScanNuts® holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GOWOD has 3.4K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 71% of GOWOD's written reviews are positive against 100% of ScanNuts®'s.

GOWOD ships an update weekly, ScanNuts® fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
