# AlwaysSafe vs UniFi Design

The clearest difference is rating: UniFi Design at 5.0 against AlwaysSafe's 2.1. UniFi Design also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 7 months) and review sentiment (24% vs 10%). AlwaysSafe's advantage is ratings volume (65 vs 5) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

UniFi Design holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AlwaysSafe has 65 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two.
