# TrackGuide vs R

The clearest difference is ads: TrackGuide at none against R's shown. R's advantage is update cadence (every 6 days vs every 3 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TrackGuide sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and R sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TrackGuide ships an update every 3 months, R every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
